Some boy had a birthday. Some boy is wonderful. Some boy was thrilled to wake up to balloons, breakfast, silly hats and a treasure hunt for his secret birthday treasures. Birthday's are fabulous reminders to celebrate!
Both elbows, both knees, and one of his wrists had knarly scabs from his high adventure scootering with Easton and Miles around and around our complex. That was the cause. And the effect was lots of crying, lots of ooey gooey bandaids, and then a smart daddy who said, why don't we just buy him some pads or something. Oh what a smart cookie. No birthday was complete without a silly hat.
random funny birthday memory: We had covered his doorway with crete paper so he could burst through it in all of his birthday glory. Travis laughed at me and said that he would just army crawl under it. I said no way and the bet was on. Travis won daggummet. He opened his door, giggled and crawled under it, stood up turned around, giggled again and started downstairs.
Nana and Papa came up for his birthday, he got to go to out of this world, out to lunch, to the movies to see "up" and then home for a fabulous dinner of his choice: letter shaped tater tots, and macaroni and cheese...yummy. So all of that explains this picture. Long days make for one little birthday Grumpy bump.
Isn't this the coolest most fabulous cake you have ever seen? It took me hours of photo editing to get it. :)) My friend Angela traded this fabulous cake and the most adorable incredible little car cakes for his friend party for a session of photoing and edited photo's. I think I got the better end of the deal!

Oh yes, I remember how you had your baby a week before we had ours and we held Corbyn when you got home from the hospital and wondered how we were ever going to handle one of our own. And now they're both 4 and they've survived....and we've survived, too! How long will you be a single mom? There's a girl in my ward with 3 girls whose husband is in Iraq for a year...you military mothers are inspiring and strong. Best of luck and I love reading your lively and hilarious blog.
