Here is the lover boys office pre-remodel. . . feast your eyes

Start: Party 2

We signed the paperwork, handed over ridiculous amounts of money and whuala, it's all ours.

Fake flowers, red rock paint, Arizona desert decor.....yes.

All of it.

Haley at home with the boys and my Dad in the parking lot waiting for go time. Let's do this.

Final Remodel Plans

Day 1 directly after signing papers (Tuesday)

Change clothes and get to work.

1. Prepare wall to chop big ole hole in it.

2. Rip carpet (yes....carpet) off the 2 desks and large cabinetry

3. Remove wall paper

4. Floor, ceiling, and desk plastic-ed and taped.

5. Travis takes 1 trip to hardware store

Wallpaper proved a worthy opponent, as did the carpeted desks. It took us the entire day and left the walls and desks in such terrible shape we opted to sheet rock, texture and start from scratch.

We were covered head to toe in ick,

Kind of fun actually.

Day 2 (Wednesday)

1. Begin painting cabinetry in exam rooms

2. Patch and sand holes

3. Continue the taping and plastic party to prepare for painting

4. All texturing off walls and desks

5. Prime dark walls in back

6. Chop very large hole in wall to open up dispensary

7. Travis takes 2 trips to hardware store

Day 3 and 4 (Thursday and Friday)

1. Painting, painting, and more painting. Everything stationary got a good spray down.

2. Time to make the desks pretty. Unfortunately my Dad was the ONLY woodworker so he did the framing all by his lonesome. Tami followed behind and caulked and I filled nail holes.

3. Frame the huge hole we cut out of the wall

4. Decide to fix backplash on the desks which:

5. Sends Travis to the store 2 more times.

Yes. This pretty much sums up how much energy we had on 5 hours of sleep and 17 hour days.

Door drama. Note to self: never paint hardware on door. Ever. It will peel off when you paint it and you will spend an entire morning figuring out how to remove them, soak them in laquer thinner, cleaning them, and reattaching them. Setback.

Yay! This picture means the desks have been sheet-rocked, textured, framed, caulked, filled, and primed. Ahhh. Now they just need paint.

Day 5 (Saturday) aka "Oh Crap what were we thinking" day

Whelp. It was longer and more arduous than we anticipated. Naturally, what remodel isn't? So we called upon some ridiculously awesome people we really didn't know. I had been to church once.

One phone call and we had an army of very capable fabulous men there to help us. That is the church my friend. We needed help in a serious way and we got it.

1. Unplastic/untape everything!

2. Finish framing/painting large hole in wall,

3. Install drum lights

4. Hardware on drawers/cupboards, then reattach to proper home. (cool when you lose your mapping sheet to tell you where all the cupboard doors go, makes for a fun afternoon)
